The all-new Pulsar Digex C50 Digital Day and Night scope gives the user true day and night capabilities in the same scope and is a great improvement over the first generation of Digex. Construction is the same all metal, 30mm housing as the hugely successful Pulsar Thermion Thermal series.
The design of the 30mm housing is similar to most daytime optics and it allows for mounting of the scope to a more diverse range of weapons than many other digital optics will allow. The unit will even handle high recoil up to and including 12 Gauge or .375 H&H. The Digex is fully waterproof, with an IPX7 rating to include submersion up to 1 meter.
The Digex C50 is powered with two rechargeable batteries: one built-in and one removable. Together the two batteries can power the scope for up to ten hours. Upon discharge of the removable battery, the unit switches automatically to the built-in battery. The replaceable battery can be removed and replaced in a matter of seconds, without ever shutting the scope off.
The built-in WiFi module connects the device with either Android or iOS smartphones using the Stream Vision 2 mobile application. This combination opens up a wide range of options: wireless device software updates, real-time image transmission to the mobile device screen, remote control digital functions and much more. Users registered in the application are provided with cloud storage space for photos and videos taken with the device.
The use of cutting-edge electronic components and signal-processing algorithms guarantees the best nighttime sensitivity in its class, using a wavelength of 900-950 nm. This allows the Digex to give detection ranges of up to 500 yards when using a good quality IR illumination. The SumLight function increases sensor sensitivity which enables passive observation (without IR illuminator) in low light conditions and at night. The software automatically activates algorithms (such as adding adjacent pixel signals of a sensor, frame addition), thus increasing the sensitivity of the device while maintaining image quality.
The Digex features a base magnification of 3.5x, with a digital zoom of up to 14x. The zoom changes either gradually in 2x step or continuously for a truly optimum, customized field of view for any specific situation. The unit features several choices of reticles which scale proportionately to the magnification, similar to a first focal plane daytime optic. It features a Picture-in-Picture mode, like most other Pulsar optics. PIP allows for precise shooting while maintaining a larger field of view and increased situational awareness in the majority of the display.
With a full 3-year transferable warranty and Pulsar’s long reputation of being one of the top industry leaders in customer service, buy the new Digex C50 with the confidence to enjoy it while hunting for years to come.
